SASCA Trails

Based on strong growth of the Stillwater Area High School Mountain Bike team and a growing interest and participation in off-road bicycling, SASCA has created SASCA Trails, a subcommittee of our organization, who has taken on the challenge of building and maintaining public mountain bike trails in the St. Croix Valley.

If you are interested in helping build or maintain the trails, sign up for our mailing list at our SASCA Trails website.

Valley View Trails offer 16,777 feet ( 3.1-miles) of single-track mountain bike trail in Valley View Park, in Oak Park Heights.

Although we began working on these trails in April of 2016, and celebrated our grand opening in August of 2017, the trail is never really "done". Maintenance is a continuous phase of repair and improvement. As more and more users come to enjoy our trail, we will see areas that need work.

This work will continue to be completed by volunteers using hand tools. Our volunteers are guided by experienced trail designers and builders. The trail will continue to be maintained at no cost to the city of Oak Park Heights. Maintenance sessions will be scheduled in late afternoons and weekends.

Reid Park is a small park tucked inside the City of Lake Elmo, located off 30th Street . This beginner friendly, multi-purpose trail is being built to be appropriate for new riders. Currently over a mile of multi-use and public trails have been completed within the wooded section of the park. ,

The trail work began in the spring of 2018 and is being be completed by community volunteers. Our volunteers are guided by experienced trail designers and builders.
